Starting a new career at 45 years old is quite an undertaking. I fell victim to the softening economy, like many others, and was forced to change careers. Real Estate had always interested me so I decided to make the change. Armed with my new license I visited brokerages and visited with other real estate professionals to see where I might fit. I originally started with Keller Williams because I liked the business model they presented. It was quickly clear to me that I was pretty much on my own. Just because I had a license did not mean that I knew anything about real estate and after a year of struggling , I left with very little business and a whole lot of expenses. It finally came to me that when you are at the bottom of a pyramid the money can only flow up. After moving to ERA Five Star Real Estate Services I realized that I could have saved myself a year of frustration and gained a wealth of knowledge and money had I just made this company my first choice. When I add it all up, I am getting one on one coaching, coupled with state of the art technology, a generous commission plan, and a real team spirit; this in my book is a “win-win” scenario.
